FASHION WEEK | 2013

Sunday, September 22, 2013

It's been a few pretty hectic weeks with the return of classes and the start of a new season, but I've finally decided to combine a few of my favorite NY/LNDN Fashion Week looks into one collage. As I always say, better late than never!
| 1. Victoria Beckham | 2. Jill Stuart | 3. Burberry | 4. Alexander Wang | 5. Jill Stuart | 6. Alexander Wang |
7. BCBG Max Azria | 8. Jill Stuart | 9. Ralph Lauren | 10. BCBG Max Azria | 11. Burberry | 12. Jill Stuart |
     The looks above are previews of designer SS14 trends, which of course, never fail to include my love monochrome. One of my personal favorite SS14 runway looks was BCBG Maz Azria's leather vest and cropped cut out top, paired with long black trousers (number 10 on collage). The vest was perfect cover up for the cut outs, and I loved how it also included splashes of color to make it especially eye-catching. Ralph Lauren's grid print monochrome dress was also an amazing piece, as it can be teamed up with vibrant shoes/ accessories and succeed to not resemble a hot colorful mess.

     This years' runways included leather, neutrals, cut outs, and the usual poppy spring colors for next year. I can't think of any particular designs that I didn't enjoy, and I was highly pleased with everyone's final looks. What can I say? NY/LNDN Fashion Week was a success! I cannot wait for next year's A/W looks :)

BACK TO BLACK

Saturday, September 14, 2013

Although I have no guilt in confessing that I've worn black during every single season, I am much more comfortable going into winter with black coats, black jeans, black boots- black everything. But of course, paired with the occasional whites, greys, and maybe even mustards and maroons. Here are a few of my favorite looks for this upcoming a/w.
Coat: Topshop; Jumper: Saint Laurent; Skirt: Zara; Clutch: Givenchy; Boots: Zara
Jumper: H&M; Clutch: Mulberry; Shoes: H&M; Skirt: H&M; Nail Polish: H&M
Jacket: H&M; Jumper: Anthony Vaccarello; Jeans: Topshop;
Beanie:  METEO by Yves Salomon; Shoes: Comme Des Garçons Converse;
Bag: Mulberry; Nail Polish: Topshop; Lip Bullet: Topshop

Coat: Topshop; Jumper: Filles A Papa; Jeans: Topshop; Bag: Mulberry;
Beanie: Superette; Boots: Kurt Geiger; Drink: Starbucks

Jacket: Burberry; Flats: Miu Miu; Bag: Mulberry; Jumper: Topshop;
Hat: H&M; Jeans: Topshop

With leather clothing, pointed flats, pom beanies, and knitted jumpers, there is no way you can't be ready for a/w. I personally love this time of the year, as it gives you the opportunity to layer like you've never layered before. There is only one week of summer left, and with that being said- Let the chilly seasons begin!
